MICHELE FULKERSON

Relying on the alluring desire for beauty, poetics, and answers to the questions that confront us each and every day, Michele hopes to convey a sense of emotion within each figurative piece so that the viewer is taken to a place of speculation and moved to feel something.

Painting began for Michele at a fine arts program right out of high school in beautiful Northern Michigan and has evolved over the years as she has traveled and shifted through life. Currently residing in Ashland, Oregon and working on her MFA in Painting at Savannah College of Art and Design, Michele is focused on figurative work and investigating and researching the rich history of female self-portraiture.
