ABOUT THE ARTIST

A native of the Bay Area who lives and works in San Jose, Valerie Magee is a pianist and teacher of piano, as well as a painter and monotype printmaker. She holds degrees from San Jose State University and Julliard School of Music. She has studied painting and monotype printmaking at San Jose State, and with Charles Strong, Joseph Zirker and Deanna Forbes.
